When you're around people you love, everything just feels natural, right? You should be able to feel the same about your photographer! That's where I come in! I provide natural, candid, romantic photography for couples and creative individuals around the Metro-Detroit, Ann Arbor, Michigan areas.
I know how intimidating it can be to be in front of a camera. Don’t worry, posing and directing are a huge part of my style and how I work.
After being in front of the camera many times myself, I know how important it is for your photographer to give you direction and talk you through what to do next. That's actually one of my favorite parts of my job because it means that you don't have to think about it! Your job is to relax, have fun, be you, and enjoy being with the person you love.
I would be honored to be that person that is able to give you that sense of ease and freedom.

hi, i'm lisa!
Like so many others, I've been taking photos since I was in middle school. I started on a super small camera and even did a little bit of film photography. I didn't think much of it, except that I knew it was something I loved to do. Then college happened. I went from starting as a fashion major to ending up as a journalism major and when it was time to get an internship, the thought of working for a newspaper quickly turned me off.
Then it hit me. Totally out of the blue. I should intern with a wedding planner. I stumbled upon a few listings for planners in the area and landed a gig! That was when I knew the wedding/event industry was for me. I then went on to work in any area of the wedding industry that I could like catering, event rentals, event planning, and I'm currently learning how to DJ (crazy, right!?).
So why not add wedding photography to that list as well? It was something that I had always done on the side, but never thought I could turn into a business. Well, I did and I couldn’t be happier! After trying what seemed like everything, I've finally found my true passion and what I'm meant to do... photographing beautiful people like you!
